Very interesting. I didn't know any of that. I've only seen the film once and it was a while ago. Although it is off-brand for me, I'm extremely fond of sports movies. Part of it is that they are easy to make and so are usually well done. Bull Durham is different than most.

I was watching Little Giants last night and it occurred to me that Hollywood hasn't changed its kid stereotypes in decades. I really liked the remake of Bad News Bears, but it used the same characters as the original. As did Mighty Ducks and, of course, Little Giants. Why is it even possible that a standard character is now a fat kid who eats all the time? It's so lazy.

It's just kissing but that is one of the most beautiful scenes in Rocky -- and it develops both characters. But generally, sex scenes seem tacked on in films. When it comes to psychotronics, I think sex and female nudity is there for the drive-in owner. And this is why you often see nudity early on in a film and never again. Most drive-in owners didn't screen the whole film.
